Fourth Annual Christmas Light Display Contest for Keokuk, Hamilton, Montrose and Warsaw Residents

4 Categories with Awards totaling $1900.00!

   

 

2023 - This fourth annual friendly competition of Christmas lights display will be in tribute to John Briscoe.  John, a lifetime resident of Keokuk, always showed his Christmas spirit as he had a yearly beautiful mini City of Christmas light display in his own yard.  After his passing, all of his beautiful light displays were donated to the Keokuk City of Christmas. 

      The City of Christmas team would like to acknowledge and thank all of the contestants for participating and adding their wonderful light displays to make the Keokuk Area a drive-in destination for Christmas sightseers.

      A committee of judges will decide the winners of the contest. 

1)  Judges Pick / Best of Show - One winner - $400.

2)  Traditional/Classic - Primarily old school, just lights, little to no animation. 1st place - $300, 2nd place - $200, and 3rd place - $100.

3)  Modern - More animation/blow-ups. 1st place - $300, 2nd place - $200 and 3rd place - $100.

4) Business - One winner - $300.
